Nat Music School and Nat Studio

They are twins, born not far apart in time, not long after Nat
graduated with a master's degree from Reading University.
In 1985, approximately one year after he returned to Thailand, he
decided with his wife, Pawongduen, to open Nat Music Academy,
teaching piano from beginning level to Grade 8 in order to develop
the piano skills of Thai children. Nat was headmaster, while
Pawongduen was general manager.
To enhance the school, and provide opportunities for students to
express themselves and gain experience, they also opened Nat
Studio. The studio organized various music activities on a regular
basis.
From the first batch of less then 20 students fifteen years ago, the
school now has 120 students. The number may not seem like a large
increase compared to the length of time, but Nat has made a point of
selecting and nurturing a group of new, quality teachers who have the
same philosophy as he has.
Passing exams at various levels at Nat Music Academy is
acknowledged to be really tough, like steel-enforced concrete. Some
students even opt to take exams at other institutes, realizing they
have a better chance of passing.
Nat does not wish to make things difficult merely for the image, but to
turn out quality students, and set a standard that his own experience
has taught him. Passing an exam at Nat Music Academy is therefore
a source of pride for each student indeed.
